My other car is a Mini Cooper. I am Competitions Secretary for the Lancashire Automobile Club (Est 1902).
I help organise Classic Car events, sprints and Hillclimbs.
My Cruiser was an official vehicle on last years Rally of Great Britain, great fun in the forests - quite jaw dropping.

Jan 2001

I have owned my PTCruiser: since last September
Country: UK, Cheshire
Colour: Patriot Blue
Year: 2000
Auto / Man: Manual

The first drive in the Cruiser was to last Septembers Goodwood revival meeting,
part sponsored by Chrysler. The Pronto Cruiser was there.
Next major event was the south Wales forests for the Rally of Great Britain.
The car is in daily use and is currently approaching 19000miles.
It has been mistaken, by a foriegn visitor, as a taxi once. The man was most annoyed
when I declined his invite to take him to Nottingham.

We are currently doing the route for the Sir William Lyons Anniversary Run based at Blackpool
but visiting the Jaguar factory at Halewood, the Lakes and the Ribble Valley before departing for the
Midlands and the Jaguar factories and Gaydon.

Next major trip is off to Le Mans for the 24hour race hopefully to see Bently take the honours.........

Sept 2001
The PT has now done 32,000 miles and is comming to the end of its first set of front tyres.
Not bad. Fuel consumption remains around the 32-35 mpg mark depending on conditions.
The car was one of the official vehicles on the recent 'Sir William Lyons Commemorative Event'
and covered 982 miles in the week.
Part of the event took us to a test track and the speedo showed just over 120 mph at the end of the straight
(didn't manage 35mpg on that day!).
The event will be shown on a TV programme some time in October so watch this space.
Only hitch is that a tourist, he had to be an American, ran into it whilst it was parked; little damage
but I suppose it had to happen sometime.
